Adopt A Hero was established in March of 2005 in response to several area friends, relatives of friends and acquaintances in the Armed Forces being assigned to duty in Iraq and Operation Iraqi Freedom. They are our Heroes because they risk their lives daily by being on the front lines of the War on Terror.

Our Mission is to keep the names and faces of these and every American serviceman and woman ever present in the minds and prayers of those of us at home who enjoy the daily blessings of freedom that their service ensure. Our purpose is to recruit folks at home to pray for, write or send a CARE package to one or more of the heroes on this website. Letters and CARE packages are great morale boosters to our men and women in uniform. They are a tangible way for us to let them know that we have not forgotten them and what they are doing.

We also want to know about friends or family members you know who are serving our country. Add your Hero to our site and tell us about him or her, where to mail a letter or package and give us some ideas of items to send that will make his or her life a little easier during their time away from home.
